Salvation Denied: Building Together, Falling Apart.
Building a towering structure is one challenge. Keeping it standing while your friends scramble around with heavy machinery is another. That’s the idea behind Salvation Denied, a construction game for one to four players from developer Firevolt and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment.
Players control a crew of mischievous yellow robots working for a mysterious employer on a hostile planet. Their assignment is to assemble enormous experimental structures, although the purpose behind those projects remains unclear.
Every block matters
According to the announcement, Salvation Denied uses a physics-driven building system in which each block’s weight affects the stability of the whole structure. Poorly positioned supports and hurried decisions can bring a construction crashing down.
Cooperative play puts players to work moving building components, adding temporary supports and reacting when things start to wobble. Proximity voice chat makes communication dependent on distance, adding another consideration when teammates are spread across a construction site.
Unusual tools for dangerous jobs
The crew has more than a basic toolbox to work with. Gravity Guns, Foam Guns and jetpacks help players move materials, stabilise their creations and reposition themselves when trouble starts.
Larger equipment includes a Gravity Tank capable of shifting whole sections of a build. There’s also Fatboy, a machine combining a bulldozer and shredder, alongside a construction 3D printer that turns unwanted parts into useful materials. That machinery can also accidentally damage the very structure players are trying to complete.
The environment presents its own problems. Meteor showers, acid rain and other hazards can interrupt construction, forcing the team to adapt if they want their work to survive.
A construction game built around cooperation
Salvation Denied’s announced features centre on the tension between creative building and keeping everything upright. Coordinating tools, machinery and teammates is part of the challenge, with environmental disasters adding pressure to an already unstable workplace.
In its 25 March 2026 announcement, Digital Vortex outlined an autumn 2026 PC release through Steam, followed by PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2027. These were the release windows stated at the time of that announcement.
