Hardware & Tech

Gaming hardware, technology and independent coverage built around how people actually play.

WildStar Gaming covers hardware and technology with a simple approach: use it properly, explain what matters and keep the verdict independent.

What We Cover

From the hardware on the desk to the technology behind the games, this is where WildStar’s tech coverage lives.

Hardware Reviews

Hands-on testing focused on real gaming use, build quality, software, comfort, performance and value where relevant.

Long-Term Testing

Useful hardware does not stop existing after review day. Products can return in follow-ups, comparisons and future coverage.

Tech Features

Analysis and features covering gaming platforms, PC technology, new ideas and the technology shaping the industry.

Across WildStar

Relevant hardware can also feature across social content, podcast discussion and video as our coverage continues to expand.

How We Test

WildStar uses two gaming PCs for real-world hardware and performance testing, giving us both NVIDIA and AMD GPU platforms to work from.

ANDY • MAIN TEST RIG

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
Intel Core i5-14600KF

Comparable Stormforce PC, not our exact test rig.

Affiliate link: WildStar may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

JAMES • SECONDARY TEST RIG

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Comparable Stormforce PC with the same CPU and GPU, not our exact build.

Affiliate link: WildStar may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

We are interested in what hardware is actually like to live with, not just what a specification sheet says. Testing is built around current games, everyday use and repeat use over time where appropriate.

  • 1440p / 180Hz real-world gaming
  • Current releases and everyday desktop use
  • Repeat testing and future comparisons
  • PC hardware, displays, audio, peripherals and gaming accessories

Our Review Standard

Use it first.
Coverage is based on hands-on experience, not rewritten product copy.

Stay independent.
Supplying a review sample never guarantees positive coverage.

Be transparent.
Review units, loans and relevant commercial relationships are clearly disclosed.

Hardware Reviews From Our Own Setup

Affiliate disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, WildStar Gaming earns from qualifying purchases. Our reviews and scores remain independent. Amazon links open matching product searches; check the exact model and seller before purchasing.

These are products we use as part of WildStar’s podcast setup, reviewed from ongoing real-world use rather than a short loan window.
