Aether & Iron is officially heading to consoles in 2027, with PlayStation and Xbox versions announced alongside new story content arriving on PC today.
The story-driven RPG is currently available on Steam for Windows and macOS, but developer Seismic Squirrel is expanding the adventure to PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2027. A specific console release date will be announced at a later time.
Meanwhile, PC players are getting new content today, September 15, with an update adding two new side quests set within Nations Crusade.

One of the quests explores the relationship between Gia and Benny, offering more insight into the people behind the game’s smuggling crew. The second delves deeper into the mysterious aether research taking place in Nations Crusade and the technology that has transformed the game’s alternate version of New York.
Set in an alternate 1930s New York transformed by anti-gravitational aether technology, Aether & Iron follows smuggler Gia as she becomes caught up in crime syndicates, political conspiracies and fragile alliances, with player decisions influencing relationships and the direction of the story.
The new content update is scheduled to go live on Steam at 11:00 PM BST tonight. Aether & Iron is also currently 20% off on Steam until September 21 as part of the Steam Party-Based RPG Festival.
Watch out for the WildStarGaming Review, coming soon.
