The KOORUI 27E6QCA is not a monitor we tested for a weekend and moved on from. WildStar’s main test setup runs two of them for 1440p gaming, which makes this review a long-term verdict based on everyday use rather than a short review window.

Orange • For 1440p high-refresh gaming on a sensible budget, the performance-to-price balance is extremely hard to beat.
Why we use two of them
The 27E6QCA sits in a very useful sweet spot. At 27 inches and 2560×1440, the image is sharp without placing the same load on the GPU as 4K, and the 180Hz refresh rate gives the monitor the headroom needed for high-refresh gaming.
On WildStar’s RTX 4070 Ti SUPER test rig, that combination makes sense. 1440p gives us a resolution that is demanding enough to test modern hardware properly while still allowing high frame rates in the games where refresh rate matters most.
Running two matching displays also makes day-to-day work easier. One screen can stay focused on the game or benchmark workload while the second handles monitoring, notes, communication or supporting software. The narrow bezels and consistent panel characteristics make the pair feel like one coherent setup rather than two unrelated screens sharing a desk.
1440p and 180Hz is the headline
KOORUI specifies the 27E6QCA as a 27-inch, 1500R curved VA display with a 2560×1440 resolution and refresh rate up to 180Hz. Adaptive Sync support is included, alongside a claimed 1ms response time and DisplayPort plus dual HDMI connectivity.
In actual use, the refresh rate is the feature you notice most. Moving from a conventional 60Hz display to high refresh is transformative for shooters, racing games and anything with fast camera movement. Paired with a GPU capable of driving 1440p properly, the monitor feels responsive and smooth without asking for flagship-monitor money.
The VA trade-off
The VA panel is part of why the monitor performs so well for the price, but it also brings the main compromise. Dark scenes can show some visible smearing during fast movement. It is not something that has stopped us using the displays for gaming, but players who are particularly sensitive to VA ghosting may prefer a faster IPS alternative.
The upside is strong contrast. KOORUI quotes a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and darker games benefit from blacks that look deeper than you would normally expect from an inexpensive IPS display. For games with moody lighting, that can add a surprising amount to the presentation.
Colour and brightness
KOORUI lists 100% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 coverage with a 300-nit brightness rating. In normal indoor use we have found the displays bright enough, and colours are lively without making the monitor feel like it is trying to be a professional creator display.
This is not the monitor we would choose for colour-critical production work, but that is not what it is trying to be. Its job is gaming performance at a sensible price, and that is where it makes the strongest case for itself.
The stand is basic
The included stand is one of the areas where the cost-conscious nature shows. Adjustment is limited mainly to tilt, although the monitor supports a 100×100mm VESA mount. Anyone building a dual-monitor setup may want to budget for arms or a more flexible mounting solution.
Performance versus price
This is where the 27E6QCA earns its score. KOORUI’s UK pricing has placed it around the low-£100s, and at that level you are getting 1440p, a 27-inch curved panel, high refresh, Adaptive Sync and enough contrast to make games look genuinely good.
There are monitors with faster pixel response, better stands, stronger HDR capability and more premium build quality. They also tend to cost more. The 27E6QCA gets the fundamentals right without forcing the rest of the setup to become more expensive than it needs to be.
Verdict
The KOORUI 27E6QCA has earned its place on WildStar’s test desk because it delivers where we actually need it to. 1440p looks sharp at 27 inches, 180Hz gives us plenty of refresh-rate headroom, Adaptive Sync works well for gaming, and the price remains one of its biggest strengths.
Its VA panel is not perfect and the stand is fairly basic, but those compromises are easy to understand at this price. For performance versus cost, it is one of the easiest pieces of our test setup to recommend.
