HELLCARD II Demo Available Now on Steam Ahead of February 2027 Launch.
HELLCARD II, the cooperative roguelike deckbuilder from Thing Trunk and Skystone Games, now has a free demo available on Steam, giving players an early look at the upcoming sequel ahead of its full launch in February 2027.
The sequel to 2024’s HELLCARD builds on the original’s tactical card-based combat while introducing a new interactive storybook structure. Instead of simply progressing from room to room, players will turn the pages of a pop-up adventure, take on side quests and make decisions that can affect future runs.
Positioning remains a key part of combat, with enemies attacking from melee and ranged distances and spreading their attention across the party. Players need to carefully position their heroes to create effective combinations while dealing with incoming threats.

HELLCARD II also introduces persistent equipment. Gear unlocked during a run carries over between adventures and can alter a hero’s appearance, stats, buffs and available deck options.
The demo includes the Blackmail Manor Adventure module, four playable heroes — the Sorcerer, Berserker, Paladin and Cleric — and support for both solo play and four-player online co-op.
The sequel also expands Thing Trunk’s distinctive paper-inspired world with new biomes, improved lighting and animation, alongside more classes, equipment, artefacts and deck combinations.
HELLCARD II is scheduled to launch in February 2027 on PC via Steam and consoles. The free demo is available to download now on Steam.
