FairPlay Studios and Red Dunes Games are bringing Nightmare Circus to Tokyo Game Show 2026, giving attendees the chance to step into its strange and unsettling nightmare world.
Currently being showcased at Tokyo Game Show, Nightmare Circus is an upcoming action-adventure that puts players in control of a puppeteer trapped inside a mysterious realm filled with monstrous enemies, unusual environments and plenty of challenges.

Combat plays heavily into the puppet theme. Players can wield strings and hooks to manipulate enemies, while switching between light, medium and heavy attacks to create different combinations. The environment can also become part of your arsenal, allowing enemies to be smashed and slammed into the world around them.
Away from combat, Nightmare Circus mixes exploration, platforming and puzzles as you search for your fellow circus performers and uncover the secrets behind the Nightmare Realm.
The game is being showcased by Red Dunes Games at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

For anyone unable to attend TGS, there is some good news: a free demo of Nightmare Circus is currently available on Steam, giving players an early opportunity to experience the game for themselves.
Nightmare Circus is currently scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox in Q2 2027.
