Honeycomb: The World Beyond Launches on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
Honeycomb: The World Beyond has officially launched, inviting players to explore the mysterious alien world of Sota7.
Developed by Frozen Way Studio and published in partnership with Snail Games USA, the sci-fi survival sandbox is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Players step into the boots of Hennessy, a bioengineer sent to the uninhabited planet of Sota7 on a scientific expedition that could ultimately help save humanity.
Exploration is a major part of the experience, with Sota7 featuring forests, jungles and other alien environments filled with unfamiliar flora and fauna to discover and study.
Where Honeycomb gets particularly interesting is its bioengineering system. Players can collect and analyse samples before experimenting with alien plants and animals, including crossbreeding through techniques such as grafting and allogamy.
There’s also base building and survival to contend with. Players can construct a modular base, create their own laboratory, gather resources and build equipment to help continue their research across Sota7.
