Introduction
Sometimes a game doesn’t need intense combat, complicated systems or a huge open world to make an impression.
Finding Polka is a cosy exploration adventure built around one simple idea: taking your time, interacting with the world around you and enjoying the journey.
I played the game on my ROG Ally X, and it quickly became one of those experiences that was simply nice to sit back and relax with.
Gameplay & Exploration
Finding Polka is a very easy-going game.
Rather than constantly pushing you towards objectives or filling the screen with complicated mechanics, it gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace.
One of the things I enjoyed most was interacting with the world. There are plenty of small moments and characters to discover, and exploring never feels stressful or rushed.
It’s the kind of game where you can simply pick it up, wander around for a while and enjoy what you find.
That simplicity is a big part of its appeal.

A Peaceful Experience
What stood out most to me was just how relaxing the whole experience felt.
There’s no pressure to perform perfectly or master complicated controls. Instead, Finding Polka lets you take things slowly and enjoy the world around you.
For anyone who sometimes wants a break from competitive multiplayer games, difficult bosses or huge RPGs, this offers something completely different.
It’s calm, charming and easy to enjoy.
Visuals & Art Style
The artwork is easily one of the highlights.
Finding Polka has a beautiful hand-drawn look that immediately gives the game its own identity.
Playing on the ROG Ally X, the artwork looked fantastic on the handheld screen, and the distinctive style makes even simple environments interesting to explore.
It’s one of those games where the artistic direction matters far more than technical realism.
Performance on ROG Ally X
I played Finding Polka on the ROG Ally X, and my experience was excellent.
The game ran perfectly throughout my time with it, with no performance issues getting in the way of the experience.
It also feels particularly well suited to a handheld gaming PC. Being able to sit back and explore this peaceful world on a portable device fits the relaxed nature of the game extremely well.
What We Liked
- Beautiful and distinctive artwork
- Relaxing, peaceful gameplay
- Enjoyable world interactions
- Easy to pick up and play
- Runs extremely well on the ROG Ally X
- Perfect for shorter, laid-back gaming sessions

What Could Be Better
Finding Polka is deliberately simple, and that means players looking for deep mechanics, combat or a major challenge may find it too relaxed.
But that simplicity is also part of what the game is trying to achieve.
Final Verdict
Finding Polka is a lovely little game.
Its beautiful artwork, peaceful exploration and charming world make it incredibly easy to relax with.
I especially enjoyed playing it on the ROG Ally X, where it ran perfectly and looked fantastic on the handheld screen.
This isn’t a game designed to test your reflexes or overwhelm you with systems. It’s about slowing down, exploring and enjoying the experience.
And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want from a game.
If you’re looking for something cosy, charming and completely stress-free, Finding Polka is well worth discovering.
WildStarGaming Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
