ArcheAge Chronicles Free Demo Coming to Steam Next Fest This October
ArcheAge Chronicles will give players their next opportunity to explore Auroria later this month, with developer XLGAMES confirming a free playable demo for Steam Next Fest.
The demo will become available on 19 October 2026 and remain playable until 26 October, with no registration, key request or approval required. Anyone with a Steam account will be able to download and play.
Players will be dropped into Diamond Shores, one of Auroria’s earliest regions, with four playable classes available: Warrior, Ranger, Berserker and Mage. Each offers a different approach to combat, ranging from heavy frontline melee to ranged attacks and elemental abilities.
One of the biggest additions to this build is PvP. According to XLGAMES, this will be the first public build of ArcheAge Chronicles to allow players to test its skill-driven combat directly against other players rather than solely against the environment.
Some of the game’s wider systems, including housing and trade, won’t be included in the Steam Next Fest build. Instead, the demo is designed to focus on combat, class identity and story, with the larger economic and social systems planned for the game’s Early Access period.

ArcheAge Chronicles is an open-world action MMORPG set in Auroria, around 50 years after the events of the original ArcheAge. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the game combines combo-based combat and weapon-specific skills with exploration, crafting, trading and housing.
The free Steam Next Fest demo will be available from 19–26 October 2026, ahead of ArcheAge Chronicles entering Early Access on PC via Steam
